01The service and its provider
The service is provided by the administrator of the pdfparse.ai service, reachable at [email protected]. PdfParse parses PDFs and images and returns structured output such as JSON, Markdown, CSV and chunks, through an API and a web app. The service is intended for business and professional use.
02Your account
You must give a working email address, keep your password and API keys confidential, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account and your keys, including activity by people you invite as seats. A seat is for one person and may not be shared.
03Subscription plans
The service is sold only as a subscription billed monthly or yearly. The current plans are Starter, Growth, Scale and Enterprise, with the prices, page limits and features shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Yearly plans are paid in advance for twelve months. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Prices are shown before tax, and applicable taxes are added at checkout.
Enterprise customers may pay by invoice with net terms after their first paid month.
A short demo on the website parses page one of a single file without an account. The demo is not a plan and gives no right to further use.
04Page limits and usage
Each plan includes a number of pages per billing period. A page is one page of a PDF or one image file. Pages count as usage in the billing period when they are parsed, and deleting a document or job never returns pages. Unused pages do not carry over to the next period.
When you reach your limit, parsing pauses and the app shows an Upgrade button. Nothing is charged automatically for extra pages. Plans also limit file size, pages per file, API keys, seats and features as listed on the pricing page.
05Upgrades, downgrades and cancellation
When you move to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing, we charge the difference for the rest of the current period right away, and the new plan starts once that payment succeeds. If the payment fails, you stay on your current plan.
A move to a lower plan takes effect at the next renewal and does not produce a refund or credit.
You can cancel at any time from billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Payments are final, as described in our refund policy.
06Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you have no right to process, or content that is unlawful,
- use the service to process data in breach of privacy or data protection law,
- attempt to access other customers' data, probe or break our security, or bypass plan limits,
- share API keys publicly, resell raw access to the API as your own parsing service without our written agreement, or create accounts to avoid limits,
- send traffic that degrades the service for others, beyond the rate limits of your plan,
- use the service to build a competing dataset by systematic copying of our outputs for that purpose.
We may suspend access that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where possible we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the issue.
07Your files and outputs
You keep all rights in the files you upload and in the outputs the service returns for them. You give us only the limited permission needed to store and process your files to provide the service, for the retention period of your plan. We do not use your files or outputs to train AI models.
You are responsible for having the rights and legal grounds to upload the files you send, including any personal data they contain.
08Our service
The software, website, documentation and brand of PdfParse remain ours. You may use the SDKs and documentation to integrate the service into your products. These terms do not transfer any other rights.
09Availability and service level
We work to keep the service available and fast, and we announce scheduled maintenance in advance when we can. Every plan, Enterprise included, is provided without a guaranteed uptime level.
10Output accuracy
Parsing, OCR and extraction rely on statistical methods, and every value carries a confidence score for this reason. You are responsible for checking outputs before you rely on them for financial, legal or other important decisions.
11Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is, and we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims arising from the service in any twelve month period is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights consumers have under mandatory law.
12Termination
You can close your account at any time from settings or by email. We may terminate or suspend your account if you seriously breach these terms, fail to pay, or if the law requires it. On termination your access ends, and files, outputs and account data are deleted as described in our privacy policy. Sections on ownership, liability and payment obligations survive termination.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. We tell account holders about material changes by email before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change applies.
14Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law that applies to the administrator of the pdfparse.ai service, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where a consumer lives. Questions about these terms go to [email protected].
